Julius Bondy and his wife

This is my maternal grandfather, Julius Bondy, and his wife, Maria Bondyova, nee Buchwaldova. They produced soda water. This is the backyard of their house on the main square in Holic. You can see the carriage, which carted soda water and lemonades. My grandparents weren’t rich. There’s also my mother, Olga Neuwirthova, nee Bondyova. She had tuberculosis when she was young and this illness and its treatment absorbed most of the family property. She was successfully cured in Switzerland and at Semmering, Austria.
