Wedding of Renata Schubert and Bernhardt Wohlstein

This is a photograph of the wedding of my parents, Bernhardt Wohlstein and Renata Schubertova, in 1920. My grandparents are seated. They are listed as follows (beginning second from left): my mother's parents, Maximilian and Lolka Schubert, and my father's parents, Katarina and Samuel Wohlstein.

Armin Mittelmann

My grandfather Armin Mittelmann is in this picture, while on a trip abroad, when he went by himself to Czechoslovakia to Postyen [Piestany today], a spa. This was in 1927, and he went there to treat his stomach problems. In the back row, in the middle, that's grandpa, a tall, handsome man, under the train window with two people. The crowd were probably passengers or a group of vacationists.

Fulop Riegelhaupt

My father Fulop Riegelhaupt is in this picture, in 1913 in Kassa. It was taken in the studio of Bela Bram. He was probably there on military duty, but as far as I know he had no rank, nor any special education. He sent his picture to his uncle to Hatszeg. I didn't know him personally, I only know his wife was my father's aunt, I even was in their house, it was a very nice house. He too was a timber merchant.

What's outside the window?

This photo was taken on 10th July 1967, by me, Henrich F. It shows our two sons. The boys wanted to look outside, but were too small and couldn't reach. As stools were big, and they could have fallen out, bricks under their feet seemed to be the most reasonable solution. As you can see, one of the boys has a letter B on him. We used to mark photos like this due to friends and family. Often it would happen that they'd look at a photo and say: "Look, B..." and be looking at R., and the other way around.
