My grandmother on my father's side, Paulina Munkova, nee Glasnerova, was from Cernuce, which is a small village in the Polabi region. She married my grandfather, Eduard Munk, who lived in Privory, near Vsetaty. Grandpa owned a pub, because similar to other Jews he had a liquor sales permit. Because just the pub wouldn't have supported him, he also had a small farm.
