The wedding picture of some Matilda Ninyo’s relatives

This is the brother of my mother-in-law Lenka Ninyo. His name was Sabat Koen. This is his wedding in Sofia in 1920. His wife is Rashel. This family left for Israel in 1949, when the big aliyah of Jews to Israel took place. Unfortunately, I don't remember what their occupations were. Sabat had two more brothers - Benzion and Yako Koen.

There were rumors about them for being in touch with people from the criminal underground. The elder brother Benzion was an educated and intelligent man, he worked in a printing house. He was of great help to his family. My mother-in-law had another sister, but I don't know her name. The people on the picture were very poor. I think the cloths they are wearing are hired. They used to live in the Jewish quarter in Sofia. Rashel, on the picture, was a very educated woman.
